Chris was one of the nicest guys that I knew when I was working in Myrtle Beach S.C. . He was smiling all the time and never said a bad word about anything . I know he is in a better place and is hurting no more . The pain that we feel about him leaving so soon , Will always be with us ,In time it will get dull. But there will be times out of no where he will pop up into our thoughts. May all of us remember Chris a.k.a SLICE always and with love in our hearts, Please Lord hold and bless the family at this time of loss. With your love and grace things will be better like our friend Chris .

I met “Home Slice” his first summer in Myrtle Beach …a NY boy hanging out with a bunch of southern boys..lifeguards and forever brothers … that strong NY accent contributed to his nickname “Home Slice”… he once said “yeah I’m just one of you southern boys,I’m a Home Slice. We stuck that name on him immediately! I lost contact with Slice for years… he was right here in my back yard and didn’t even know it. RIP old friend.

Dear Kastl family… I am so very sorry for your loss of Chris.
Fortunately, death is only a temporary part of life. Jesus promised us a wonderful resurrection of the dead (John 5:28,29/1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14), so we have the hope of being reunited with our deceased loved ones. In the meantime, even though the pain of loss through death may sometimes seem insurmountable, rest assured that God will give you the strength necessary to endure the coming months (Psalm 46:1).
Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences…. John
