Ms. Connie Jean Treece, 58, of Kannapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. She was born April 4, 1955 in Rowan County, to Shelby Lemley Goodman and the late Brownie Goodman.
Connie was a graduate of East Rowan High School, a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and was Head Custodian at Woodleaf Elementary School. She had a caring heart and was a forgiving person, who was always concerned about others and found joy in helping others find jobs. Connie enjoyed listening to gospel music.
Survivors, in addition to her mother include, daughter, Jodi M. Treece of Baileyton, Alabama; brother, Robin Goodman and wife, Angela of Savannah, Georgia; sisters, Tanya Goodman of Concord and Carlean Gobble and husband, Jeff of Salisbury; Grandchildren, Paige Hartford, Katherine Hubert, and Richard Hubert, III; Great-Grandchildren, Saveah and Aiden Hartford; and nephews, Adam Trexler, Jason Trexler, and Travis Gobble.
Visitation: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Eastside Baptist Church, Salisbury.
There will be a memorial service on , Saturday, December, 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church, Salisbury, conducted by Rev. Joe Black, pastor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mary Allen and the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their care and support.

I am so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing. The last time I spoke with her she seemed a little confused, but she said she was at peace and wished me luck in the future. Just like her.
