Cynthia Ann Hill, 57, of Sophia passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her residence. Cynthia was born on February 15, 1957 in Randolph Hospital. She was the daughter of the late William Mack Holloman and the late Golda Mae Cook.
She had attended Salisbury Schools, Eastern Randolph High School and Randolph Community College. She had worked in the cafeteria at New Market Elementary School and drove a school bus. Cynthia enjoyed cooking for her family and raising and canning her own food. “Cindy”, as she was called by her friends, had a vibrant and loving spirit. She loved people and never met a stranger. A simple 15 minute trip to the grocery store might turn into an hour.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter Chelsea Hill and sister Debra Rich.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Anthony Eugene Hill, Sr.; sons, Anthony Eugene Hill, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Randleman; Joshua Hill and Johnathan Hill both of Sophia; daughters, Shenna Hill of Elizabethtown, and Macy Hill of Asheboro; Step-Father John Cook of Lexington; Brother, Jody Holloman of Salisbury; sister, Brenda Berrier of Lexington and 4 grandchildren; Tristen Hill, Lindsey Hill, Noah Hill, and Taylor Parker.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
