Cynthia “Cindy” May Rummage, 58, of Gold Hill, passed away peacefully and gracefully, surrounded by her mother and sister on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
She was born July 14, 1964 in Fremont, CA to the late Clyde Rummage and Nancy Salter Rummage. Cindy worked at the Food Lion offices for many years, before working as a Claims Adjuster until her disability. In her spare time she loved to travel on cruises and spending time with her entire family, especially Friday night dinners. She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ where she enjoyed volunteering and was instrumental in planning the monthly community dinners.
In addition to her father, Cindy was preceded in death by sister, Carol Williams Swoope; brother, Robert Rummage; and sister-in-law, Glenda Rummage.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Nancy Salter Rummage of Gold Hill; sister, Kathy Rummage of Gold Hill; brother, Bill Rummage of Gold Hill; brother-in-law, Ken Swoope of Gold Hill; sister-in-law, Donna Rummage of Rockwell; nephews, Johnathan Rummage, Michael Rummage, and Tyler Williams; great-nephews, Joshua, Aaron, and Nicholas Rummage; beloved pets, Lily Anne and Sophie Grace.
There will be a memorial service held at 3pm on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 38 Church St. NE Concord, NC 28025 with Rev. J. Nathan King officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Reformed UCC – Memorial Garden.
