David Anthony Corl, 62, of Spencer, passed away on May 7, 2017, after a short but brave battle with Brain Cancer.
David was born to the late B.W. Corl and Rosa Menscer on June 19, 1954 in Point Pleasant, NJ. He was a man of God and member of Trading Ford Baptist Church, where he volunteered driving the church van. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and going to yard sales and auctions. David never met a stranger, always smiled and laughed, and always was willing to help others. He was a great father, brother, uncle and friend, and will be missed by all those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Barry Corl.
Those left to cherish his memory are, son, Jamie Corl of Gold Hill; daughter, Nichole Hardister (Nathan) of Salisbury; sisters, Charlotte Corl of China Grove; Mary Enderson of Toms River, NJ; and brother, Edward Menscer (Marc) of Statesville.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm at Trading Ford Baptist Church (3600 Long Ferry Rd. Salisbury, NC 28146.) on Friday, May 12, 2017, with a Memorial service starting at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trading Ford Baptist Church – Transportation Fund.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Genesis Healthcare, Hospice of Rowan, and of the 3rd floor, Tower B at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, for all their continued love and support.

I just found out of David’s passing. I never met a kinder, sweeter person. He would drop everything to help at anytime. He went out of his way for me and trusted in me and that meant the world. I always loved and cherished his friendship. David you were a wonderful soul I’ll never forget.
