David Burns Coley Sr., 63 years old, of Kannapolis, gained his angel wings on March 7, 2023 at the Tucker Hospice House of Kannapolis.
He was a loving father to three children, David Coley Jr. Of Kannapolis, Dana Coley of Kannapolis, and Lily Murphy of Raleigh. He was a loving grand-daddy to Haley King, Erica King, Jase Britt, Atlas Brackett, and the new grand baby that was born 10 days after he gained his wings, Lucca Zayne Coley, which will carry on his legacy! Also, a sister Edna Jerene Webster. The family he left behind that loved him so; will carry his spirit on through each generation a legacy, a root, an unbreakable, untouchable spirit that lives on for eternity. That day he went home was the day he was reunited with our mother, Patricia Taylor Coley; his beloved mother, Judith Rose Vanhoy Coley; his father, Kenneth Wayne Coley Sr.; his two brothers, Gregory Todd Coley and Kenneth Wayne Coley Jr.; his uncle, Joe Vanhoy and Herby Vanhoy and aunt, Eva Jane Vanhoy.
Our father was a provider, a teacher, a blessing to our family. He was the glue that held us together. The stitches when broken, a miracle in disguise. Everything often a family seeks. A beloved example of Godly life. He loved his children unconditionally. Our daddy will be missed never replaced! He will now be our angel watching over us, our protector, and reminding us what we shall instill in his legacy to come in each generation’s seed. His spirit will forever live on. Until we meet again in our home for eternity father, we miss u so much and love u dearly!!

So sorry for your loss. I wish I had known him better. All of Judy’s kids were so shy growing up. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love and prayers, Uncle John Vanhoy’s family.
