Dianne Marie Owens, 73, of Kannapolis, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, peacefully passed away on Sunday November 18, 2018 at the Tucker Hospice House.
She was born November 2, 1945 in New Castle, PA to the late Clyde Hassig and Hazel Kuhn Hassig. She graduated from Union Area High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant for Proctor & Gamble for over 23 years. She was a member of Fusion City Church in Kannapolis, and in her spare time enjoyed traveling, keeping in touch with her friends and spending time with her beloved granddaughter.
In addition to her mother, Dianne is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jerold Owens, whom she married July 29th, 1967; son, Jason Owens (Karen) of Estes Park, CO; granddaughter, Fiona Owens; brother, William Hassig (Linda) of Concord, NC and sister-in-law, Iris King (George) of Port St. Lucie, FL.
There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 3:30 PM at the Whitley’s Funeral Home Annex Chapel (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083), conducted by Pastor, Brian Duncan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fusion City Church, 101 YMCA Drive, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

Words cannot describe how precious this lady was! If you take all of the best characteristics of a good friend and roll them into one it would spell Dianne. I will miss that little giggle and long talks! I know she meant so much to everyone who knew her! She will forever live in our hearts!
