Donald Charles Calandra, 66, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

Donald was born on March, 13, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY. Upon graduating from the American Banking Institute, he worked for Chase Bank for 25 years before becoming a dialysis technician at Huntington Hospital in New York. After moving to North Carolina, he worked for Regions Bank in Charlotte. Donald is a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church in Kannapolis, NC and in his spare time loved traveling, visiting the beach, fishing and spending time with family.

Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Florence Davis Calandra of Concord, NC; daughter, Jennifer Calandra (Christopher Buttner) of Concord, NC; brother Charles Calandra of Concord, NC; his beloved pug-chihuahua Gail; and many cousins. He leaves behind dear friends and family, Doris, Rick, Sarah Teumer, Diana and Joseph Saullo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jenny Calandra; and brother, Leonard Timothy.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at 10am on Saturday, November 19^th 2016 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church in Kannapolis, NC, with Pastor John Futterer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kimball Lutheran Church Building Fund (101 Vance Ave. Kannapolis, NC 28081).
