Donald “Wayne” Wise, 63, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at his home after a battle with Brain Cancer.
He was born January 1, 1962 in Concord, NC to the late Donald Eugene Wise and Mary Catherine McIntyre. Wayne loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing, riding motorcycles, camping, spending time at the beach and being with his wife, Penny. He was known for his warm smile, outgoing spirit, and the way he never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Wise Lefler; brother, Danny Wise; and his grandparents.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Penny Love Wise; sister, Judy Mergelos (Angelo); son, Wayne Wise; daughter, Autumn Bost; 2 step-daughters; 4 grandchildren; and 6 step-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service held at 2pm on Saturday, November 29th, 2025 at Royal Grace Bible Church, 305 Burrage Rd. Concord, NC 28025.

Wayne was an amazing,husband brother in law,uncle,person!! If I needed help mowing my grass or changing the oil in my car he would always come to the rescue. He always tried to turn a negative situation into a positive situation. The battle he fought was horrible, he is no longer suffering ..r.i.p Wayne you will be missed dearly!!! I love you
