I am saddened by the loss of a dear friend and co-worker. I worked with Donna for 3 years and she was always a joy to be around. She was my gypsy wanderer, I called her this because of her free spirit and soul. Donna will be truly missed by many. Her family and friends are in my prayers.

I am truly sadden that cancer has taken another family member. Stay strong and continue to cling to family, someone has to be the rock that holds everything together now. Our family has you in our thoughts and prayers.

Donna was an opinionated woman who said what was on her mind. I loved that about her. She was a sweet, sweet woman who truly cared about me, someone I could talk to. I worked with Donna for 3 years and in that time we shared so many stories as I also am of the Indian descent. We also share the same birthday. I will always remember her for her warm heart but also for her loyalty to me and being able to be herself no matter the situation. She always spoke well of her children and grandchildren. And the excitement in her eyes as she came to work to say “the new grandbaby” is here! Free spirited! Fly high my friend! See u soon!
Denise Goodman says
It is so hard for me to say what I need to say because I hate what cancer has done to my family. I have lost two sisters to this horrific disease in less than seven months. First, my sister, Sandra and now my sister, Donna. We have a strong family and we will survive even though our hearts are broken. It hurts to lose your Mother but the memories of her love for you will help you through the darkest times. Trust in God and he will carry you through.

Donna will be missed terribly. Although I never met her personally, she was a great friend and we spent many hours talking online. We first came into contact back in 2003 while playing games in Yahoo Bingo. A large group of us would get together in the Bingo room almost every night and talk, laugh and just have fun… We have kept in contact over the years, and it is with deep sorrow that I feel at Donna’s passing. May the Good Lord take care of you now Cher and we will miss you our beautiful Cherokeesquaw… 🙁

I got the privilege of getting to know Miss Donna while she was in Winston. She was so funny and fiesty! You aren’t suppose to have favorites but she was kind of our pet. My favorite memory of her was one day when it first started getting warm. We dolled her up and took her to the court yard to see the flowers. She was so happy. Even when I didn’t have her in my assignment I always stopped in to see her. I think we all did. She loved her family so much! She was always telling me about her kids and her grandbabies.
I am saddened to hear of her passing. Your family is in my prayers.
