She attended Central High School, Charlotte, NC, and graduated from Greensboro Women’s College. She married the love of her life on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and shared His love to her family and friends and especially to many young people by opening up her home and hosting people from all walks of life. She volunteered with the Red Cross, at her church St. Giles Presbyterian and served in leadership at Community Bible Study; however her most precious time was spent being a prayer warrior for those in need. She leaves with us many wonderful memories filled with love and laughter.

We remember her as kind and devoted to her family. Always had a smile when we saw her. We add all our admiration to those who knew her much better, and to her for a life well lived. She’s run her race and is receiving her prize from her Lord Jesus.

I came to know Mrs. Cato through Chris, Shawn and Scott as an 8th grader. We went to Christian coffee house, prayer meetings and bible studies together. Chris and I became great friends and he shared his loving family at a time that made a great impact on me. Mr and Mrs Cato were great folks and so kind to me as was the whole family. I thought they we’re cool. Heaven has received a precious lady and follower of Jesus.
