Douglas M. Burnette, 73, of Huntersville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024.

He was born March 1, 1951 in Indiana to the late Dugger Burnette and Dorothy Helms Burnette.

Douglas worked as a mechanic for 31 years at Inland Steel and he enjoyed fishing, cars and listening to music.

In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Burnette and Joan Florer; and one brother, Charles Burnette.

Douglas is survived by two brothers, Frank and Tom; two sisters, Marie and Donna; son, Brian; and daughters, Amy and Tracie; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
