What an amazing woman! She sure led a wonderful life! Betty “Nan” was responsible for my first visit to Vegas in 1994, when she insisted I join her on a road trip there when I was working with her for her son, Brendan. My prayers go out to all her family as they celebrate her life and say goodbye to their Matriarch. God bless.

My heart is saddened by the loss of such an incredible lady. She was the matriarch of the Flaherty family and was a joy to know. I have been truly blessed to have known her and shared several years in her company along with her daughters, Brena and Betty, and her son Brendan. Pete, Erika, and Carl, you’ve been a godsend to Brena during the past several years when she needed you most. Thanks! Because I couldn’t be there for her. To all the family I’ve never met…you have been given an amazing gift in your mother; mother-in-law; sister; and grandmother (great grandmother, too). Nan touched all who knew her. She will be missed and she will always be loved. Her memory will live on in each of your hearts. I love you, Betty Flaherty!!!! Now you can dance!

My wonderful Aunt Betty….you have been an inspiration to me throughout the years. Your strength and encouragement were the values that sustained me through many a rough time. Remembering your smiles and laughter will be ingrained into heart forever. I will never forget your words to me one day when we were having dinner…”Never be afraid to ask for what you want. You may not get it, but at least you know you tried.” I will never forget you and will always remember you. You were not only a truly loving aunt, but my Godmothet as well. Love you

Thank you Nan for all the wonderful memories we have had. I had the honor of “fancying” up your nails and one thing you always told me was that, “All that glitters, is not gold” …. Well now it is where you are!!! Walking those streets of GOLD! To the family; I am so blessed to have been a part of Nan’s life for the last few years here in North Carolina. A Beautiful and Sassy lady!! I loved to hear all her stories and her telling me about being the oldest person in California to have a driver’s license. Never a dull moment. Love her!! God bless you all.

Yesterday we lost a great Warrior…but heaven gained one of the best guardian angels they’ll ever get. If I’m lucky enough to age to 102 like Betty, I want to do it full of zest and life just like her. She was an inspiration at Warrior Golf for decades to generations of people and will not be forgotten.

What can I say about Betty Flaherty?
Oh, it would take pages and pages. And I am sure I would run out of ink
Here goes:
Betty Flaherty my mother, my friend, my confident for many years. The person that helped me become the woman I am today, she taught me how to teach my children Roxanne, and Liz, compassion, respect and how to make a sad time into a happy time, of course it may have take time to do. but, do it was done..To laugh at non-serious things in this life..But, I am not the only one, no matter what person got to meet her, was automatically in her class..Yes, my mom could take you to task, and the next thing you know you are back on the right road…Ahh, the many times, we had to have space from each other was horrific…but, back on the road again , laughter at something so dumb..
She loved to travel, and I know there are many places now that she and my dad will be seeing together, weather he wants to or not…I will miss you mom, you will always be in my thoughts and heart Take time to rest in between the travels, where ever you are..
