Eric N. DeHart, 70, passed away peacefully at Atrium Hospital on June 14, 2025.

Eric was born February 18,1955 in Jacksonville, FL to Earl DeHart and Virginia “Ginger” Murrell DeHart. He graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School and attended Florida Junior College. He was a member of The Be4good Project for over 15 years.

Eric’s career took him all across the US, where along the way he collected many friendships. To Eric, those were his lifelong treasures. When Eric was not working or volunteering for a project you could catch him on the golf course, by the pool or on one his many travel adventures.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Nancy Mosier DeHart; daughters, Valerie Shearer (Mike) of
Denver, CO. and Jennifer Lawrence (Chris) of Atlanta GA; grandchildren, Cali, Lucas and Hannah Shearer, Samantha, Cara and Preston Lawrence. He is also survived by brothers, Randy and Charlie Dehart, sister Kay Register along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne DeHart.

There will be a Celebration of Life on September 13,2025 at Starclair Recreation Club 7700 Woodstream Dr. Charlotte NC. The family will have a private burial service in Meadows of Dan, Virginia at a future date.
