Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Ernest Bascon Buchanan Jr. completed his journey on earth and has gone to his eternal home in Heaven
August 11, 2022, at the age of 58. Jr had battled kidney failure for 4 years and a short battle with liver
cancer.
Jr was born in Salisbury, NC to the late Ernest Bascon Buchanan Sr. and the late Geraldine Bost. Jr has
two brothers Charles Wilson and Brad Buchanan. Jr graduated from North Rowan High School and
jumped right into the work force. He worked for the Railroad, Gamewell Mechanical, Downtown
Graphics but worked in lawn care before he had to retire, which was his true passion. Jr took a lot of
pride in working in his own yard and was always helping neighbors and friends. Along with his love of
lawn care, he was a master griller. Friends and family would bring him things to cook for special
occasions. Jr loved being outside and spending time with his family, friends and his dog Cody.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and life partner of 26 years, Teresa Buchanan of Salisbury;
sons, Joshua Buchanan and Nicholas Buchanan, both of Salisbury; brothers, Charles Wilson of Raleigh, and Brad Buchanan and wife, Heather of Salisbury; grandsons, Noah Buchanan and Isaiah Buchanan of
Salisbury; and a very special aunt and uncle, Jimmy and Nancy Linn, who played an important part of
who he is today.
I can only imagine the grand reunion in Heaven with friends and family who have gone on before him.
The memorial service will be August 15, 2022 at Franklin Baptist Church at 2:00, with visitation with the
family from 1-2 at Franklin Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC.
