Ernest “Sam” Samuel Musgrave, 69, of Linwood, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025.

He was born April 5, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Roby Musgrave and Velma Winn. Sam was a man who lived life with grit, humor, and a little bit of sarcasm. He had a passion for working on old Hot Rods, often with grease on his hands and a grin on his face. If he wasn’t in the garage you could find him at the card table happily playing poker and reminding everyone that luck was just a skill in disguise or at least that’s what he claimed when he won. Family was the center of everything for Sam. He was always ready with a helping hand, a smart remark, or a story that left everyone laughing. His sharp wit and big heart made him unforgettable to anyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Winn and father, Roby Musgrave.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Christel Reno; grandchildren, Hayley Musgrave, Zack Reno and Blake Reno; sister, Susan Young (Randy); brother, Glenn Win and life long friend Patrica Graffia.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm at Journey Church (61 Biesecker Rd, Lexington, NC 27295.)
