Frances Ann Greggs Walker, 83, of Charlotte, North Carolina, peacefully passed away Friday, April 10, 2026, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born on December 28, 1942, in South Carolina, to the late Joe Greggs and Irene (Gause) Greggs.

Frances worked as an elementary school teacher for 10 years in South Carolina. She enjoyed teaching and had a deep love for children.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Dawkins.

Frances is survived by her four daughters and son: Cynthia Blount, Tonya Flack, Regina Walker, Doris Walker, and Carl Walker.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 3705 Prosperity Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28269.
