Fred Rawlings Paradice, 93, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Salisbury.

Fred was born on September 2, 1932, in Georgia to Marvin Milo Paradice and Annie Eliza McLaurin Paradice. He later made his home in North Carolina, including Morven (Anson County) and Charlotte

A proud United States Navy Veteran, Fred served his country with honor. In civilian life, he worked for many years as a machinist, known for being dependable, hardworking, and steady.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Milo Paradice and Annie Eliza McLaurin Paradice; his children, Robert Wilson Paradice, Terry Marvin Paradice, and Lisa Paradice Wicker; and his siblings, Myrtle Paradice and Albert Paradice.

He is survived by his grandchildren: James Paradice (and four children), Robert Paradice (and three children), Jenny Paradice, Jessie Paradice (and two children), Miranda Paradice (and one child), Daniel Wicker, and David Wicker; along with more than ten great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

Services and arrangements will be announced by the family.

Interment will take place at Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro, North Carolina, where his parents are laid to rest.
