Gamila Faye Grice al Sadat, 56, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her home in Kannapolis, NC.
She was born November 9, 1964 in Charlotte, NC to the late Edward Curtis Grice and Elizabeth Dodgens Williams. Gamila enjoyed listening to music, coloring, reading, playing cards with her family and talking to her friends and family. She will be remembered for her big heart!
In addition to her parents, Gamila was preceded in death by her husband, Neddal Moheb al Sadat, and sister, Julie Stillwell.
Gamila is survived by her daughters, Amira Neddal al Sadat of Charlotte, NC, Hala Sanderson, Rhiannon Hensley, and Danah al Sadat; son, Curtis Edward Grice; granddaughters, Haley Williams, Aaliyah Patton, Jennifer Hensley, and Charlotte Hensley; grandsons, Bryson Williams, Marshall Williams, Draegon Turner, Neddal al Sadat, Javaris Patton, Tyree Patton, and Zion Patton; and sisters, Sharon Collins, Anne Williams, and Deborah Tirpak.
There will be a time of remembrance on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 4:30-8:30 pm at Reedy Creek Park 2900 Rocky River Road, Charlotte, NC 28213.

I miss you mom, more than ever. I always will and the love you gave me I will always hold dear to my heart. I am thankful for the many memories you left me with, good, bad, and the crazy. We had our ups and downs and I am thankful for the closeness we shared over all the people in your life I’m glad I could be your rock your shoulder and target practice if you needed to vent. You were and are the only one who could call me Dani and now I won’t hear that again even though it grew from Dani to D lol I miss it already ???? I will forever miss you mom, you were and always will be my heart!! ❤️ I hate you left so soon who will I ask all the questions I have to ask now, the personal, the crazy, and even the stuff that makes no sense but I know would make you laugh! I love you, like you always told my kids, to infinity and beyond, Uzz you bunches miss you muches ????????
