Gary Blaine Reavis, 79, of Kannapolis, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Medical Center.
He was born August 16, 1946 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Samuel Clarence Reavis and Sallie Faye Dull Reavis. He was educated in Kannapolis City Schools and graduated from AL Brown in 1964. After graduating, he attended Rowan Technical Institute and graduated with a degree in drafting. He worked at Gamewell Mechanical for over 48 years and retired in 2021 due to health reasons.
He was an avid fan of AL Brown Wonder football, Atlanta Braves and Carolina Tar Heel sports. He was also a huge animal lover, especially Beagles. He and his wife, Barbara rescued many dogs during their 38 years together.
Gary loved bluegrass music, especially the banjo and he was of the Baptist faith.
Gary is survived by his wife, Barbara Haden Reavis, whom he married August 8, 1987; son, Grayson Isenberg of Washington, DC; brother, Michael Reavis and wife, Linda of Kannapolis.
There are no services planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers or food, cards may be sent to the home. Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
