Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Gary “Joe” Alvis Bradley Jr., 45, of Statesville, went home to heaven to be with the good lord and his many family members before him, on Thursday November 3, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was born on January 12, 1971 in Iredell county to the late Gary Alvis Bradley and Carolyn Slaughter.
Joe worked as a mechanic and specialized in small engine repair. He could build anything and was a excellent carpenter and a hard worker. Joe loved fishing, being outdoors, playing cards and pool, and spending time with his friends and few family members. He also loved to listen to music and go for long rides down the back roads. He loved to laugh and have a good time. He was a loving, caring, forgiving and kind person. He was also shy and sweet. He would give the shirt off his back to a friend in need. He was just a good ole country boy. No one is perfect and anyone who knew Joe aslo knew that he had a temper. Once he reached that point, he was like a volcano that just erupted. There was no stopping him from telling you what he wanted to say or what he thought.
He is survived by his soul mate and one true love of his life of over 6 years, Angela (Samantha) Lawson. Joe and Samantha had that once in a life time, true , unconditional love. They were devinly blessed. Joe is also survived by his great friend Jimmy (Bo) Mcdaniel, Cousin Melanie Slaughter, an aunt, uncle and sister and many friends. Samantha and Joe would like to give special thanks to those that were there for them during Joe’s long and courageus battle with cancer. He fought so hard for a long time. Also thank you so very much to Jimmy (Bo) Mcdaniel, Joel Singleton and Brad Moore for keeping your promise to Joe even after he went to heaven.
