Gary Leo Rickenberg, 69, a resident of Albemarle, NC, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on May 1, 2024.
Originally from Bryan, Ohio. Gary enjoyed a fulfilling retirement working for Stanly County as a Convenience Site Operator in Aquadale. Gary leaves behind a legacy of smiles and laughter.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Lindsay Cooney and Courtney Swain, along with their respective husbands, Juddson Cooney and Matthew Swain. Gary’s pride and joy were his grandchildren: Kendall, Kaylee, Macon, and Logan. Additionally, he is remembered by his mother, Marion Rickenberg, and his six siblings.
Gary was a man who brought joy to all who knew him. With a contagious smile and a knack for humor, he brightened the lives of those around him. He enjoyed simple pleasures like boat rides and cherished every moment spent in good company.
Though he may no longer be with us, Gary’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for his kindness and laughter.
The family would like friends and family to join them on Sunday, May 19, at 2:00 PM at 24522 NC 24 27 Hwy Albemarle, NC 28001, as we come together to celebrate the life of Gary.
