Heaven’s Angels came down and escorted George A. Stewart III from his earthly home and into the open arms of our Lord on February 20th, 2023.
George was born 72 years ago on November 30th, 1950. He is preceded in death by his father, George A. Stewart Jr. and stepmother, Rita Stewart of Halifax, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife of 49 and a 1/2 years, Kathy Lambert Stewart of the home; daughter, Kristie Stewart Hunsucker, of Faith, NC; and son George “TANK” Stewart IV and wife, Jessica of China Grove NC; sisters, Linda Monteiro and Carol Rollins of Middleborough, Massachusetts; and brothers, Rick Stewart and wife, Nancy, of Middleborough, Massachusetts; and Chris Stewart of Sharon, Massachusetts; five very special grandchildren, granddaughter’s Kayla Lynn Stewart and wife, Machealee; and Taylor Alexis Gillespie; grandson, Kristian Gillespie; and the two youngest grandsons, Colton and Joshua Stewart, who had their “Poppy” wrapped around their little fingers. Also his very first great granddaughter, Maicyn Lynn Stewart.
George was a proud US Marine (1970-1974). George was a flooring specialist for more than 40 years, owner of own flooring installation business, George’s Carpet Service.
Graveside services will be Saturday, February 25th at 2 PM, at West Lawn Memorial Park, 1350 South Main Street, China Grove, North Carolina.

Words can not express how sad I am, That my “Georgie Peorgie ” is gone. I will miss that silly grin he would give me when I would see him around the track.
