Pam and I express our condolences for Gertrude’s passing. She certainly lived a full life. Her boys have remained two of my lifelong friends and brothers in well remembered shenanigans. As Gertrude would say, “John, you’re looking a little seedy.”

Mrs. O was an amazing woman! I was forever blessed to have her as my 6th grade teacher. When I think of her, I can still see her beautiful smile and hear her laughter. She invested her time and energy in my life at a time that I was flailing wildly in a choppy sea. I so appreciate her wisdom and guidance. Thank you, Mrs. O. You are greatly missed!

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your extended family on the loss of your mother. May God bless you and your family with strength during this time. May her memory live on in your hearts. Jane had recently showed us a video of your mom singing when you all visited her in North Carolina during the Christmas holidays. She was a beautiful woman. John, Mary & Dennis: My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this sad time. Mary was a kind and loving woman – so dedicated to her students. I was a 13 year old neighbor girl when she paid me to help her grade student papers in the evenings. It gave me spending money and time to sit with her in the quiet of your parents’ home on Carson Street. She worked tirelessly to ensure her students were well-educated and they were fortunate to have such a caring teacher.
