Graylin McKinley Blackwell, 69, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Novant Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

He was born May 18, 1952 in Salisbury, NC to the late Monroe Blackwell and Hattie Clement Blackwell. He previously worked at the Bill Hefner VA Medical Center and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and traveling.

In addition to his parents, Graylin was preceded in death by his brother, Monroe Blackwell Jr.

Graylin is survived by his wife of 3 years, Marie Blackwell; sister, Renae Blackwell of Atlanta, GA; sons, Graylin Tyrone Blackwell of Cleveland, NC and Ras Blackwell (Marsha) of Kannapolis, NC; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a private memorial service.
