Jackie Dean Craver Lopez, 68, of Rural Hall, North Carolina passed away peacefully on December 22, 2012, in Forsyth Medical in Winston-Salem. She was born in Davidson County on October 20, 1944, to parents Jack Craver and Bernice Stroud Craver.

She leaves her love to her husband of 45 years, Robert Lopez of the home; her son Kevin Lopez; her granddaughter KayLeigh Lopez of Hillsborough; her sisters: Carolyn Craver of High Point and Peggy Bourbonais of Thomasville; her brothers Jimmie Craver and wife, Doris, and Bobby Craver and wife, Billie, of High Point; and Jerry Craver of Winston-Salem.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vickie.

Jackie graduated from Ledford High School and Bowman-Gray School of Inhalation Therapy. She was employed in the emergency room at the former High Point Memorial Hospital. She continued her career at what is now Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, as Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy in the Intensive Care Unit and as Clinical Instructor. After twelve years at Wake Forest, Jackie accepted employment at Humana Hospital, now Moses Cone Health System – The Women’s Hospital of Greensboro. She served as Supervisor of the Respiratory Therapy Department, as In-Service Coordinator and as Clinical Instructor for the department staff, students and new orientees. She remained employed at Humana Hospital until her retirement.

Jackie’s hobbies included reading and traveling extensively with family and friends over her lifetime. Her favorite vacation spots were Paris and Hawaii and she also traveled to London, Spain, Acapulco, San Juan, and Virgin Islands.

Jackie’s intense love for animals was displayed throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by her little Bichon Frise, Princess Daisy.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Forsyth Medical Center for the exceptional care and compassion that Jackie received.
