Jackie Lynn Hensley, 66, of Lexington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 5th, 2017.
A memorial service will be held on at 11am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Lighthouse Baptist Church where he was a member. Pastor David Davis and Preacher Ray Harris will conduct the service. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service and at the other times at the home.
Mr. Hensley was born on September 26, 1951 in Scott Co., VA to James H. “Bud” Hensley and Vernie Jennings Bowen Hensley. He was retired from PPG Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Bowen and Duke Hensley; three sisters, Peggy Hensley Winegar, Cora Bowen Lankford, and Dorothy Bowen Winegar.
Surviving are his wife, Della Musgrave Hensley of the home; daughter, Tonya Hensley of Lexington; son, Ronald “Duck” Hensley (April) of Lexington; three grandchildren, Racelynn Hensley, Johnny Payne and Danzi Payne; seven brothers, Alfred Bowen, James “Jim” Hensley, Perry “Red” Hensley, Danny Hensley, Emory “Cotton” Hensley and Lonnie Hensley, all of Lexington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church Mission Fund, 6261 NC HWY 8, Lexington, NC 27292, or to Davidson County Public Library, 602 S. Main St. Lexington, NC 27292.
