James Lester Jones, 76, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

He was born December 16, 1948 in Whipple, WV to the late James Jones and Katherine “Lorene” Williams Jones.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Cottingham Jones.

James is survived by his son, Mike Jones (Tara); grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Steven Jones, Taylor Hill (Justin), Ciara Lawson (Brett); and nine great-grandchildren.
