He retired from National Steel Corporation after 26 years of service in 2000. He enjoyed doing home improvements and assisting his friends and neighbors in his retirement.

No funeral or visitation services are planned per his request.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Feral Felines, as he cared for several local feral and stray cats up until his death.

Jim was the man! My mailbox fell apart, and I received a note from the HOA it needed replacement. Jim came to my rescue. He built and installed it. He would only allow me to cover costs for materials. A great guy!
Judy, there are so many of us in Lexington that he helped. We would love to be able to pay it forward if you need anything no matter how big or small.

Sorry to see Jim’s passing. He was a great friend of our lexington community and I had the pleasure in working with him as a HOA board member. He was a true gentlemen and his selfless service to volunteer is remarkable. He will be missed dearly.
Rest in peace and God speed.

Maurice and I are saddened to hear about Jim’s death. He, along with his wife, were truly an asset to this community; always picking up discarded objects in the community and always ready to help with community events. Jim will be missed. Our hearts and prayers are with Judy
