You are in my thoughts and prayers. You captured some beautiful photos of the grandchildren with their grandfather that will mean so much to them and help them remember him.
Joan Gerhards Jim's sister says
I thank you, God, for having Jim as a brother. He left an indelible thumbprint upon all whom he met in life with his love of nature and animals. His soul came to a peace and quiet when amongst these creatures. To Michael, Cindy and Gary; in the midst of your sorrow and loss, know that your relationship with Jim – however that was – will continue. It is to be held in your hearts along with the legacy of his person. Jim had the ability to let go of the hurts of the past, to make the choice of recalling the good. Cindy and Gary, may God Reward You for the dedicated ministry to Jim. You exemplified THE GOOD SAMARITAN to the full!
Marilyn Pinckney, Sister says
Jim and all of his surviving relatives are so very lucky that he had such wonderful family and friends around him to help him with this final journey. Though he thought he could travel this road alone, we know that he needed some help and we are so thankful for all that was done to care for Jim. He loved living on his farm and working it for so many years (though I never enjoyed feeding his pigs), but he felt that every creature was special which included cows, bison, his dogs and what ever other critters he collection over they years. My condolences to Michael, Cindy, Gary and Donna and to the grand kids that will surely miss their PawPaw.
