James “Jim” Scrip “Scrippy”, age 73, of Salisbury, NC, final chapter was written on October 1, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Dunmore, PA to Nicholas Scrip and Esther Purdy. Jim graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1964 and was a 50 year member of The United Brotherhood of Carpenters. Jim was a lively person and made friends anywhere he went. He loved going to the coffee shop with his pals talking politics or any other topics of the day, and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife and lifelong companion of 51 years Arvilla, Sons Nicholas (Tina), Zackery (Mary), Allen (Jennifer), and Joseph (Kaylyn), 4 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 5 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please do a kind gesture for someone else. Jim requested no services.
