James William “Bill” Ridenhour, passed away on July 27, 2012 surrounded by his family. Born October 2, 1941, in Rowan County, he is predeceased by his parents, Yorke and Ruby Ridenhour and a son, Todd Ridenhour. Bill served as Town Alderman of Rockwell for 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Carol P. Hall, stepdaughters, Mitzi Hall, Mandy Hoagland (Reggie), and step granddaughter Madison Hall.
Bill retired from Buck Steam Plant. While at Buck, Bill enjoyed managing and playing softball with the company softball team. He was also a big Duke fan, an avid Kasey Kahne fan, an avid Yankees fan and golfer.
Memorial Services will be conducted at Immanuel Lutheran Church Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 3:00 p.m, by Rev. Bruce Sheeks. Visitation prior to the memorial at 2:00 p.m. Private burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan Hospice and Pallative Care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144 and the Immanuel Lutheran Scholarship Fund, 2070 Emanuel Church Road, Rockwell, NC 28138.
