Janice Carol Johnson, 68, of Union Grove passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. Janice was born on December 12, 1946 in Iredell County a daughter of the Ruth Snow Pharr and the late Darrell David McDaniels.

Mrs. Johnson received her education in the Iredell County Schools and was a homemaker. She loved her flower garden and taking care of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Wayne Johnson and John Curtis Johnson and two brothers, Will McDaniels and Hurley McDaniels.

Survivors include her husband, C. A. Johnson, Sr.; sons, Alem Johnson and wife, Leona of Union Grove; Tyler Johnson and wife, Leslie of Statesville; daughter, Rachel Trivette and husband, Lee of Mocksville; grandchildren, Jody, Cody, Jessica, Dustin, Hayden and Curtis; Great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alana, C. J., and Bentlee; sisters, Linda Wilcox of Statesville and Betty Nixon of Maggie Valley.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
