Jeff And I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Jerry. Jeff and Jerry hit it off right off the bat because they both shared military experiences and had a lot in common. Through the time that we came to know him we were truly amazed at how good of a man and Christian he was. The news of his passing has really hurt our hearts. We are praying for his wonderful family that he loved and was so very proud of. May God comfort all of your hearts and all of his fellow brethren’s hearts as well.

So sorry for the loss of Mr. Clevenger. He was such a wonderful family man, who loved and talked often of his family. He was also involved in such valuable work for those who needed his help.
His legacy will live on, not only in his family and those who called him a friend, but also in the many who were able to improve their lives because of his help. He welcomed me when I arrived in NC from Ireland, and I enjoyed our conversations immensely (and his jokes!). I was very proud to call him my friend.

We sure had some enjoyable memories of Mr. Clevenger, back in the WCG days when we’d visit in the Boone-Lenoir-Marion circuit with he and Peggy and girls. . .and then later again in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro congregations. The memories we enjoyed with his family while visiting them in the Salisbury area, back in the late 80s & 90s, were often filled with his encouraging words, as he had a way of making people feel comfortable and accepted, irregardless of their background, or struggles in life. His realistic approach to tackling trials and handling hardships, won’t be forgotten anytime soon, during the remainder of this lifetime! Our heartfelt prayers will continue to remain, on behalf of his children, grandchildren and extended family <3
