Jill Elizabeth Strahl, of Concord, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of 68.
Jill was born in Aruba to her parents John and Jean Branlund, whom have since preceded her in death. Jill spent her early years in Port Chester, NY, later living in Coral Gables, FL, and Salinas, CA, before settling in North Carolina in 2014.
Jill lived an active, wholehearted life. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and found joy in gardening, arranging flowers, cooking, feeding and watching birds, and caring for those around her. Her warmth, creativity, and generosity were felt by everyone who knew her.
A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jill is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael Strahl; her children Adam (Laura) Starling and Katrina (Nicolas) Micheli; and her stepchildren Erik, Chris, and Jeni. She cherished her six grandchildren—Luke and Emily Starling, Winter Micheli, Kai, Teo, and Annabelle—who brought her endless joy. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Branlund.
