John Albert Ramirez, 54, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

He was born on May 13, 1961 to the late Joe and Minnie Ramirez in Abilene, TX. John proudly served his country in the United States Navy. John was a very caring family man, and always eager to provide for his friends and family. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, playing badminton, and boating. He was known to his friends and family as being very social and for his outgoing personality, as well as being a “do-it-yourselfer”.

John is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sanjuanita Bustamante Ramirez; 2 sons, Vito Ramirez and wife Rosaanna of Jacksonville, NC; Erick Ramirez also of Jacksonville, NC; a daughter Vivian Ramirez of Charleston, SC; and 2 grandchildren, Vito Jr. and Rosabella Ramirez.

A Veterans Memorial Service will be held at 10am on April 22^nd, 2016 at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Statesville Blvd. Military Honors will be provided by the Rowan County Honor Guard and the North Carolina National Guard.
