John Clair Lantzy Jr., 41, of Linwood, NC passed away on Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. John was born on December 18, 1973 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Marilyn Barton and the late John Clair Lantzy Sr..

He attended Iroquois High School in Lawrence Park, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Regis Lantzy, paternal grandparents, Clair Lantzy and Beryl Lantzy Maxcy.

In addition to his mother Marilyn Barton Lantzy of Linwood, he is survived by his sister, Carrie Lantzy (Gus Vilella) of Linwood; three sons, Brendon Lantzy (Tara) of North East, PA, Christian Lantzy of Concord, NC, and Charles Lavelle (Misty) of Erie, PA; two stepdaughters, Autumn Schubert of Erie, PA, and Lindsay Gilkinson of North East, PA; five grandchildren, Cale, Ethan, Sophia, Kyle, and Zachary; maternal grandparents, Harry and Nancy Barton; a niece, Alyssa Woodberry of Lexington, NC; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Charity Baptist Church (6835 Charity Church Lane, High Point, NC 27263).
