Johnny Boyd Shultz, 94, of Salisbury, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at his home.
He was born May 7, 1924 in Morristown, TN. Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter and in his spare time he enjoyed building things, collecting, and having a good time.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by wives, Gidla and Priscilla; children, David and Steven; and grandson, Christopher Henderson.
Johnny is survived by children: Myriam Henderson of Shallotte; Ruth Lee of Wilmington; Johnnie McKinney of Salisbury; Michael Shultz of Fairview; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Phaniels Baptist Church, 2685 Phaniels Church Rd. Rockwell, NC 28138. There will be military service held at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 15th, 2019 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 896 Old US 70 Highway, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
