Johnny Ray Miller Sr., 64, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday November 4, 2018 at the Novant Rowan Medical Center. He was born on May 6, 1954 in Iredell County to Estelle Morgan Miller and the late John Miller.
Johnny Sr. graduated West Rowan High School in 1972 and retired from Freightliner TMP in 2017. Johnny was a very family oriented person and absolutely loved his grandchildren. He never missed a Sunday dinner at his Mothers House. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to spend time outdoors with his kids and grandkids. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Richard Miller, and Jimmy Miller (Pam); sisters, Julianne Foster (Jimmy), and Carolyn Dale (Mickey); his former wife, Rebecca June Payette; three children, Johnny Ray Miller Jr. (Kyndra Lane), Jesse Ray Miller (Morgan Kayle Miller), Sarah June Pless, and Carolyn Sue Haas (David); grandchildren, Hailey Miller, John Miller, Marc Miller, Odessa Miller, Alex Miller, CayleAnn Lou, Bentley Miller, Matthew Pless, Adrian Pless, Brantley Johnson, and Adaline Haas.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
