Joseph “Joe” Francis Segreve passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning January 10, 2017 with his wife Barbara by his side.
Joe was born in Salem, Massachusetts and was the only child of the late Thomas and Margaret Segreve. He graduated from St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA before being called into service in 1943. He was a World War II Army veteran and a survivor of the D Day invasion and a Purple Heart Recipient.
He earned a business degree from Boston College in 1950 and spent the next 36 years with a rewarding career at Unisys Corporation, where he retired as World Wide Director of Sales. He had a passion for all sports, especially golf, and was an avid fan of his Alma Mater (Boston College). He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Joe is survived by his wife Barbara Segreve of 64 years, his 5 children: Thomas Segreve (Cathy) of Perkiomenville, PA; Carolyn Blake (David) of Charleston, SC; Mary Porowski (Donald) of Duncan, SC; Timothy Segreve of Audobon, PA and Joan Benner (Scott) of Concord, NC, 6 grandchildren: Cassie, Melissa, Monica, Kara, Keenan, Patrick and 7 great-grandchildren.
There will be a full Military Service and Memorial at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Pawley’s Island, SC. January 24th, 2017 at 10 am.

I am Oyvind, the exchange son in 1976, from Norway. I am so sad about the loss of Joseph and Barbara. I never told my love for them. They were fantastic, the warmest persons I have ever known. My love for them will be in my mind as long as I live. Oyvind
