Juanita Hagar McCreary 96 of Kannapolis died on Monday April 15, 2024, at the Tucker Hospice House.
She was born August 19, 1927 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late William “Robert” Hagar and Pearl Lippard Hagar.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Tommy Gatton and William “Bill” McCreary; a brother Robert Lee Hagar; two sisters Evelyn “Christine” Scott and Elizabeth Neal Patterson; a half-sister, Annie Mae Woodall, and a step-brother, Francis Ray Hagar; two children Eddie Gatton and Larry Gatton.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter in law Shelia Gatton; Son David Gatton of Kannapolis, her grandchildren Tommy (Teresa) Gatton, Tonda (Mike) Milligan, Michelle (Gary) Steeley, Michael (Deana) Gatton, Gary (Summer) Gatton, Jennifer (Shane) Scercy many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Juanita retired from Cannon Mills in 1989. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family.
A Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Genesis Baptist Church, China Grove, officiated by Rev. Rex Ware.
