Judy Owens, 73, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 surrounded by her family.
She was born August 15, 1950 in Salisbury, NC to William “Bill” F. Anderson and the late Hazel Leazer Anderson. Judy taught kindergarten at China Grove Elementary School for 20+ years. She loved woodworking, arts and crafts. She will be remembered for her love of her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Myron “Hank” B. Owens; sister, Carol Dills, brother-in-law Doug Dills, and brother-in-law Steve Goodman.
In addition to her father, Judy is survived by her sons, Michael B. Owens (Sheila ) Matthew B. Owens, and Marcus B Owens (Lauren Owens ) all of Salisbury; grandsons, Garrett Owens, Grayson Owens (Courtney Amos), and Lawson Owens; granddaughters, Madison Deal and Ansley Deal; and sister, Sandra Goodman.The family will greet friends and relatives from 5pm till 6pm followed by the funeral service starting at 6pm, Thursday May 16, 2024 at Trinity Church 2200 Mooresville Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.
Pastor Randy Addison will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rowan County Animal Shelter 160 Adoption Way, Salisbury, NC 28146 or Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary 220 Grace Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28147.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Mother. I knew her through the school when our Son went to China Grove Elementary and also you all lived around the corner from us. Marc used to spend time at our house with our son playing basketball. She was a sweet lady and always smiling when I would see her at the school.
