Keenen Isiah John Cowan, 24, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
He was born July 15, 1997 to James Cowan and Tempie Wells. He was educated in the Rowan County Schools, having attended North Rowan High School in Spencer. Keenen had an infectious smile, with a happy and funny personality. He also had a heart of gold and loved animals.
Those left to cherish Keenen’s memory are, his father James Cowan, mother Tempie Wells, brothers, Zachary Wells, Kendrick Steel, and Tevin Rankin, sister, Brittney Cowan, nephew, Kayden Hunter, also many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Keenen had many friends that were like brothers and sisters, he also leaves behind his girlfriend, Kenyetta Garcia and her children, whom he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

To James,Tempie and family my condolences and I can’t imagine the hurt and pain that you guys are going through right now. I was around a little to see Keenen grow up and he was always respectful to me. Even as grown man he was still respectful and whenever I saw him he would always have a big smile and say hey uncle Greg even though we are cousins I never stop him from calling me uncle that made me feel good he will truly be missed RIP Nephew/Cousin.
