Kenneth “Pop” David Denton Sr., 80, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. He was born on December 28, 1938 in Mocksville, NC to the late Timothy Denton and Mary Allen Denton. Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a airplane mechanic.
He owned and operated his own Trucking business and he enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with his son all over the United States of America. He owned multiple Honda Goldwings and was a avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by; son Darren Thomas Denton and daughters Diane and Debbie Denton.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth Denton, Jr. of Salisbury, Danny Denton and wife Samantha of Woodleaf, Donald Denton of Salisbury, Deloris Christie and husband Jack of Salisbury; Doris Rachels and husband James of Salisbury; grandchildren who include, Crystal Merrington and husband Steven of Kannapolis, Chelsea Wiles and husband Nathan of Salisbury; Amanda Stamison of Mt Ulla; Cameron Ritchie and wife Brandi of Rome Georgia and Christopher Ritchie of Salisbury. Kenneth was also survived by 12 great grandchildren who include Kaytelynn 17; Kairah 13; Emily 13; Landon 7; Faun 13; Tori 10; Harmony 19; Raven 19; Lilith 3; Belladonna 12; Gauge 3 and Drake 2.
A Family Gathering will be held on Saturday September 21st at the home of his son Kenneth Denton Jr to celebrate his life.
