Kevin Dale Barkley, 32, of Kannapolis, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. Kevin was born on March 3, 1984 to Roger Dale Barkley and Belva Patterson in Cabarrus County, NC. He recently started employment as a pipe fitter for BVS Systems, Inc. in Cornelius.
Kevin loved the outdoors and especially trips to Tucker Town Lake where he loved to fish. He also liked to play video games with his son. More than anything, family was the most important part of Kevin’s life. He was a devoted father who would do anything for his children and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved his children and family very much and he will be dearly missed by them.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his three children: Cheyenne, Joshua, and Kaylie Barkley; his former spouse: Patricia Barkley (Brian) of Kannapolis; seven siblings: Amber Barkley (Juan), Robin Barkley (Jeremiah), April Reynolds (Shane), Rachel Miller, Aaron Barkley (Kayla), Shayna Barkley and Jr. Stokes; 17 nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Barkely.
Services will be private at the request of the family.

Dear Barkley Family,
We are sorry for your lost. I just would like to share with you something that has given so many hope for the near future. Please read in your bible Acts 24:15 and John 5:28,29. This promise comes directly from God the creator of life. Again we are sorry for your lost.

Hey this is Kaylie Barkley Kevin dale Barkley’s daughter I miss him so much I think about him every day. His dad recently passed away by cancer and that was hard to take in with a lot of people dying in my family. I try to not cry about it a lot but it’s hard not to when i’m in school. I cry all the time I ask my teacher can I go to the office to call my mom and talk to her. Most of the time my Mom and I cry on the phone because were sad that he’s gone but I know that god took him for a good reason and I know that he is still with me no matter what I do or any body else. So people can tell that he’s gone by I know he is right beside all the time and nobody can ever take that from me and nobody can tell me other stuff. I know that he’s never going to leave my side were ever I go.
also I have to use my foster mom’s email and name to get in what i’m only 11 and in 6th grade.
