Landon Lee Tirk, 50, of Gold Hill, passed away on August 1, 2022.
He was born May 26, 1972 in Cabarrus County. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and attended East Carolina University and Central Piedmont Community College. Landon worked as a warehouse handler for FHI. His passion in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included tennis, golf and football. Landon was known as an excellent griller and being a huge Raiders fan.
Landon was preceded in death by his father, Max Lee Tirk; maternal grandparents, Robert H. Johnsen and Dora Ball Johnsen; uncle, Lynn Yow.
Landon is survived by his parents, Michael and Bobbye York; children, Kirsten (Dustin), and Travis (Caitlyn); grandchildren, Kayson John, Lennon Elaine; Cannon Wayne, and Maelin Jayde; brothers, Robert Tirk and Tony York; nephew, Max Tirk; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, August 20th, 2022, at Trading Ford Baptist Church, 3600 Long Ferry Rd. Salisbury, NC 28146 starting at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation for Ichthyosis, at www.firstskinfoundation.org.

Landon, the kids and I love and miss you so much! Life will never be the same without you. I’m so glad we had the relationship that we did have. You and I talked a lot about the kids and our own situations but I just want you to know my heart is with you. I do so very much love you!
