Larry Allen Goens, 75, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at his home on June 26, 2023. Larry was born February 26, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Orville Goens and Ella Milton.
Upon graduating from Richmond High School, he married Faye White (predeceased) and began his career at Johns Manfield until his retirement. He later married Laura Weisenborn.
In most recent years, our beloved Larry moved from Indiana to North Carolina in order live closer to and spend time surrounded by family/grandchildren. He enjoyed watching basketball, walking, playing Pickleball and “sun bathing”. Larry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was dedicated to growing stronger in his walk with Christ. His favorite scripture was Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles”.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Charmelitta Archer; sons, Larry Allen Goens, Jr, Nikolos Goens, and Terryl Lear; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
An intimate memorial service will take place along the Carolina shores.
Instead of flowers, Larry would want you to express LOVE to those you value
Carolina Cremation of Salisbury and Charlotte is assisting the Goens family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

Dad,
I will miss you! I had so many precious moments with you – especially these recent couple of years. You were kind and always made me smile or bust out and laugh! I am so grateful most of all for how I watched you blossom as you grew spiritually! Through YOU God taught me so much – in particular Humility and Love… Although I feel you left us too soon- the Lord has given me PEACE to accept that Heaven made you a better offer! I see you soaring on -to higher and higher heights!
I love you,
Karmy
