Larry Dale Snider, 77, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday October 08, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family. Mr. Snider was born on July 26, 1939 in Mocksville, NC to the late Dolon Snider and Sue Stout Snider.

Larry attended Guilford County Schools and was a graduate of Grimsley High School and Guilford College. He married the love of his life Patricia Mitchell Snider on December 28, 1963 in Fairmont, NC. Larry worked for Nabisco, Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., Martin Well Drilling, and he was the first manager of the Wendy’s in Statesville. He was also the owner and Baker of Home Bakery from 1978 to 1991 and worked for Engineered Sinter Components and the Auto Auction before retiring in 2014.

Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Mitchell Snider of Statesville; two sons, Mitchell Dolon Snider of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Dale Patrick Snider of Charlotte; a grandson, Jacob Mitchell Snider of Winston-Salem; siblings, Gary Snider (Janice) of High Point, Kay S. Martin of Statesville, Gay S. Lamar of Greensboro, Michael Snider of Virginia Beach, VA; special friends, John and Deb Staford, Homer Dishman, Bob and Laura Johnson, all of statesville, Charles and Martha Kirkman of Pleasant Garden, NC, Michael Greenwood of SC, Casey, Victoria and Lilly of Statesville; and Larry’s Dog, Scooter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church (825 Wesley Drive, Statesviile, NC). The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Wesley United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Iredell County (2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28677) or to The Humane Society of Iredell County (110 Robinson Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117).
