Lawrence M. Venable, 68, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at his home in Lexington, after a battle with cancer.
He was born June 16, 1956 in Thomasville, NC to the late Lawrence and Hazel Harris Venable. He had a passion for drawing, fishing and visiting the beach. He last worked for Adams Transport, transporting buses.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Venable; sister, Gail Woodard; and son-in-law, Tracy S. Walser.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Cindy Venable; son, Darel Jackson (Heather); daughter, Serena Walser; son, Zachery Jackson; 2 grandchildren, Liam and Lucas Jackson; aunt, Martha Todd; nieces, Dana Smith (Steve); and Shelley Marshall (Michael).
There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 pm on August 31, 2024 at Wayside Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church, 3035 Upper Lake Road, Thomasville, NC 27360. The family will receive visitors at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wayside Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church, 3035 Upper Lake Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.
