Lloyd “June Bug” Ray Allman Jr., 67, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday March 17, 2016 at the W.G. “Bill” Hefner VA Medical Center. Lloyd was born on August 23, 1948 in Rowan County to the late Lloyd Ray Allman Sr. and Louise Harwood Allman. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Lloyd was a Christian man who loved to make people laugh and he will always be remembered for his sense of humor. Lloyd was a 1966 graduate of East Rowan High School and he worked as a truck driver for many different companies. He was musically gifted and he enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica. Lloyd was also a painter and would often give his paintings to his friends and family. He never met a stranger and loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Allman.
Lloyd is survived by a brother, Michael A. Allman and wife Susan K. of Savannah, GA; two nephews, Alex Allman and Michael Allman II; one niece, Kimberly A. Kaiser; great nieces and nephews, Hannah Susan Allman-Kaiser, Issabella Rose Allman, Luke Allman, and Henry Allman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 10, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Rockwell Amvets Post 845 (427 Link St., Rockwell, NC 28138).

I am so sorry to hear of Lloyd Ray’s passing. Always loved to be around him when I was young. He could always put a smile on my face. I know that he will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers to Mike and his family, along with all his aunts, uncles and cousins. Rest in peace Lloyd Ray.
